Police release image of car following crash in Chadderton
Police have released a CCTV image of a car they are trying to trace after a fail to stop crash in Chadderton.
At around 5.25pm on Wednesday 9 April, the driver of a black Mini was driving along Fields New Road in the direction of Thompson Lane.
As they turned right onto Shillingford Road, they were overtaken by a silver Skoda Fabia before there was a collision, causing extensive damage to the Mini. The silver car continued to drive onto Thompson Lane.
The driver of the Mini and passenger received minor injuries.
Police Constable Simon McEvoy said: “I would firstly like to thank those who have come forward and helped us with our enquiries. From what we have been told, we believe a black Audi estate and blue BMW estate were behind the Mini before the collision.
“I would ask the drivers of both those cars to come forward and let us know what happened. We have examined the CCTV and although we do not see the incident itself, an image of a Skoda Fabia VRS has been retrieved.
“It is likely the Skoda will have damage to the nearside and I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or recognises the car from the image released to come forward.”
Anyone with information should phone police on 0161 856 8809.
