Meanwhile the local food bank in Oldham says they have seen a small decline in the number of people they help in Oldham. But those they do help are mainly families, whereas a few years ago, it was mainly single people.

Oldham has featured as the most deprived area in the country, with Rochdale as the tenth. Now the local food bank in Oldham says they have seen less people needing help, but those who do come for help, are mainly families.

Andrew Barr is the manager at Oldham Food bank and has told Revolution News that last year there was a small decrease in the number of people that needed help. However he also says it's very worrying when grown men who are out working all day, still find themselves unable to feed their family and need to rely on food banks.

Meanwhile the statistics show that Oldham is the second cheapest place to buy a house in the country, Oldham misses out on the top spot to Burnley.
